It was no coincidence that on February 17, the day of the death of King Albert-I at Marches-les-Dames (in 1937), his bust was inaugurated. The statue is situated on the southern grass lawn of the King Albert I Square in Leopoldsburg. It was made by artist Mariejo Drees from Leopoldsburg. The bust was unveiled as part of the commemoration of WWI in 2015. |
